The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Units 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St. Catherine, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Jockey ROGER HEWITT who rode GIVEMETHELIGHT in the fifth (5th) race on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for his excessive use of the whip.
Jockey TAJAY SUCKOO who rode PRETTY SASSY in the tenth (10th) race on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to NATIVE FLYER in the vicinity of the 600 metre point.
Jockey SHAHEEM GORDON who rode MR WONDERFUL in the sixth (6th) race on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, had his explanation accepted for the intimidation and interference caused to PHENOMENAL ONE and DANCINGINTHEBREEZE after leaving the starting gate.
Groom GORINE LYNCH was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for his failure to present the horse PRINCESS CATALEYA for Lasix Administration on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025.
Jockey RICHIE SHAKES who rode LIL MAGGIE in the second (2nd) race on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to horses BUBBLINGBROWNSUGAR and NEVER in the vicinity of the 1200 metre point.
Jockey SHAVON TOWNSEND who rode BABY GREY in the fifth (5th) race on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to CHASING MY DREAM after leaving the starting gate.
Jockey RADDESH ROMAN who rode DREAMER in the seventh (7th) race on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, was severely cautioned for the intimidation and interference caused to BLACK RINGO in the vicinity of the 700 metre point.
Jockey CLIVE LYNCH who rode THE GENERAL in the eight (8th) race on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, was suspended for one (1) race day and fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for his excessive use of the whip. The suspension will commence on 27th December, 2025.
