The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Unit 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St. Catherine, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Jockey MATTHEW BENNETT who rode CHARMING SOUND in the first (1st) race on Saturday, March 21st, 2026 was fined Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) for the excessive use of his whip.
Jockey CALVIN BAILEY;
- who rode DON’T TELL LOU LOU in the sixth (6th) race on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 was cautioned for the excessive use of his whip during the race.
- who uttered disrespectful comments towards an employee of the Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited was requested to issue a formal letter of apology.
