PRESS RELEASE
The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Unit 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St. Catherine, on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025.
Jockey ERIC HAUGHTON who rode:
- MAMMA MIA in the ninth (9th) race on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to BARNABY leaving the 500 meter mark.
- MAMMA MIA in the ninth (9th) race on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 was suspended for one (1) race day for the intimidation and interference caused to NEO STAR leaving the 1100 meters mark. The suspension will commence on 6th September, 2025.
Jockey ANTHONY ALLEN who rode KUSMI in the eighth (8th) race on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 had his explanation accepted for the excessive use of his whip.
