The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, 8 Winchester Road, Kingston 10, on Tuesday, March 04, 2025. Jockey TREVOR SIMPSON who rode NEPHEW in the eighth (8th) race on Sunday, February 23, 2025 was suspended for two (2) race days and fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference his mount caused to GIRVANO in the final 200 metres of the race, which resulted in the disqualification of NEPHEW. The suspension will take effect on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
