The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, 8 Winchester Road, Kingston 10, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Jockey MATTHEW BENNETT who rode MILITARY GRADE in the seventh (7th) race on Sunday, 10th December, 2023, was suspended for one (1) raceday and fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to SELENA TREASURE, XYLOPHONIC STEEL, ANSWER MY PRAYERS and CRUCIAL ALEXXYA in the vicinity of the 800 metre point. The suspension will take effect on 03rd February, 2024.
